Taylor Swift Update - June 17th

I know its only been two days sense the last update but Taylor has a big night at the CMT awards last night. Thanks to all her fans, she brought home the Best Video Of The Year award as well as the Best Female Video Of The Year. Video Of The Year is a fan-voted on award, to win she beat out country powerhouses Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins and Sugarland.

If that wasn't a big enough night for Taylor. She also closed out the show by performing "Pour Some Sugar On Me" with none other than legendary rockers Def Leppard.

Taylor Swift Update - June 15th

It's been a month sense the last Taylor Swift update so there is a lot of big news to catch up on.

If you didn't now already, the CMT Music Awards are right around the corner, as in tomorrow, June 16th. Taylor Swift is due to perform during the show; and if believe what she tweets on Twitter it might even be a rap. Our Taylor Swift is officially one of the biggest names in country music, that's according to new Twitter charts. In fact, Taylor is ranked #2 with 570,106 followers, she's second only to Miley Cirus. Rounding out the top 3 but trailing by a huge margin is Billy Ray Cyrus with 78,036 followers. Taylor kicked off her FEARLESS tour this past week in Evansville Indiana on April 24th. Taylor also received the keys to the city and April 23rd was declared Taylor Swift Day. For more about the show and Taylor Swift day, check out this story on CountryStandardTime.com.

Who doesn't love good celebrity gossip? As reported by TMZ, Taylor Swift received a police escort to the airport recently much to the annoyance of everybody else on the road. Apparently the police escort caused quite a traffic jam for all those non-celebrities.

Are you a Verizon Subscriber? Verizon has announced an agreement with Taylor Swift to provide exclusive content to be distributed thru the Verizon V Cast Music with Rhapsody service. Taylor swift is a busy women these days, it can be hard to keep up to date with everything that is going on in her life. Here are the hightlights you may have missed.

According to LookingToTheStars.org, Taylor Swift has donated her prom dress to DonateMyDress.org. The dress raised over $1200 for the charity organization. Read More about this.

Taylor Swift was among the announced performers for the 2009 CMA Festival in Nashville. Taylor will be performing on June 14th at LP Field in Nashville. The annual event runs four nights June 11th - June 14th. Other preformers include Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Trace Adkins and Reba McEntire. Tickets are onsale now.
